Granite has been in existence for thousands of years, but only in the past few decades has it been a viable alternative for granite countertops for the kitchen and bathroom. The cost of granite production, coupled with the lack of any type of warranty, had prevented granite from being universally accepted. In 2002, Monticello Granite, Ltd. revolutionized the granite industry by introducing the first nationally available granite countertops that carry a 25 year warranty.
