The bridge saw is used to cut the raw slab into the shape that is needed for the countertop, but is limited to only forming cuts that are straight.

The edging machine is comprised of an assembly line of routers and polishing heads that round and smooth the edge of the counter top. This machine can not be used to pieces with special cuts or elaborate edge profiles.

A water jet is a machine that uses a high pressure stream of water and crushed garnet to cut out unusual patterns that can not be formed by the bridge saw and are too time consuming to be done by hand. These include but are not limited to sinks, cook tops, faucet holes, arcs, corbelled corners, and cut outs for outlets.
